Managing Director
Charles Gehring, CFA is Managing Director and co-founder of Mission Creek Capital Partners, Inc. He also is a member of the firm’s investment committee.
Prior to co-founding Mission Creek, Mr. Gehring was a Managing Director, Director of Investment Management and Chairman of the Investment Committee for Insight Capital Research and Management, Inc., an independent investment management firm located in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to the management of small-, small/mid- and large-cap concentrated growth stock portfolios for institutional and individual clients.
While at Insight (which enjoyed peak assets of over $4.0 billion), Charles was also the Portfolio Manager for the large-cap growth portfolio from 2001 until 2009 where his portfolio earned the “Emerging Manager Monthly Large-Cap Manager of the Year Award in 2008.” Mr. Gehring joined Insight in 1992 after being associated with HomeFed Bank.
Charles is fluent in Spanish and received his BBA in Business Administration from the University of San Diego. Mr. Gehring is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, FINRA Series 65 and 63 registered and a member the CFA Society of San Francisco.
Managing Director
Henri Moudi, CFA is Managing Director and co-founder of Mission Creek Capital Partners, Inc. He also is a member of the firm’s investment committee and leads Mission Creek’s private equity distribution management platform which currently manages customized distribution management mandates for clients with combined private equity commitments approaching $3.0 billion. Henri has many years of achievement managing and advising on public, private and alternative U.S. and international assets and excels at creating and managing customized solutions that meet the most demanding needs of institutional and individual clients.
Prior to co-founding Mission Creek, Mr. Moudi developed and led Thomas Weisel Asset Management’s (Stifel, Nicolaus & Co.) distribution management platform for over a decade and successfully managed over $2.0 billion in concentrated distribution exposures, among other strategies, for some of the largest global institutional investors. Henri has substantial expertise in evaluating, managing, hedging and monetizing concentrated, low cost basis stock positions leading to more resilient, tax efficient and well diversified portfolios. Henri has also successfully designed and profitably implemented hedge and overlay strategies utilizing index and equity options to selectively enhance returns and mitigate risks on over $500 million in concentrated exposures and has significant experience managing restricted and control stock positions.
Henri was previously a Manager, Investments at Autodesk Ventures, where he sourced, evaluated and executed multiple early-stage private equity investments for the world’s fourth largest software company. Prior to joining Autodesk, Mr. Moudi was an Equity Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Harris Bretall Sullivan & Smith L.L.C., a San Francisco based $7 billion investment management firm which was acquired by Federated Investors, Inc. While at Harris, Mr. Moudi contributed to the Harris Bretall Growth Equity Fund being awarded the Morningstar 5-Star rating in 1998 and in 1999. Henri was also previously associated with The World Bank in Washington, DC, where he contributed to the quantitative portfolio management of the Bank's $30 billion global fixed-income portfolio.
Mr. Moudi received his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his BS from Cornell University. He also holds a JD from Boston University and is a member of the State of California and District of Columbia Bars. Henri is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, FINRA Series 7 and 63 registered and a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.
Director of Investment Operations
Kimberly Ng is Director of Investment Operations at Mission Creek Capital Partners, Inc.
Prior to joining Mission Creek, Kimberly was Vice President at Thomas Weisel Asset Management LLC (Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated) for over eight years where she successfully managed and provided oversight of investment operations, client support and service, client reporting and compliance functions for Thomas Weisel Asset Management’s distribution management platform.
Previously, Mrs. Ng was a Senior Portfolio Analyst with Bank of America Investment Services where she provided portfolio performance monitoring and reporting on over $3.5 billion within Bank of America’s Private Client Division. Prior to that, Kimberly served in key investment operational roles with Husic Capital Management and Charles Schwab & Co.
Ms. Ng is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese and received her BA in Psychology from the University of San Francisco.
